About This Series
Meet with Shalin Butterworth, CLEC, and a group of expecting families as we cover all of your feeding questions and concerns. Shalin has found that families and babies have the best breastfeeding outcomes when parents feel prepared and empowered with practical information and realistic expectations before their baby arrives. Â
Together we will explore:
- The anatomy and physiology of milk making
- Establishing a healthy milk supply
- Tips for the best start, golden hour, breast crawl, and newborn reflexes
- What to expect in the first few days and weeks
- How to tell if baby is getting enough
- Normal newborn behavior and communication, patterns, and feeding/fullness cues

- Partner roles for support
- Breastfeeding plans
- Nourishing yourself while breastfeeding
- Antenatal hand expression
Class is held in person and space is limited. Each family will walk away with confidence and knowlege need to have a successfull breastfeeding journey as well as a digital packet of valuable resources.Â
